All made from scratch, with no picture references...just what flutters through my mind.

The only thing i would have changed is move the font somewhere else so you can see all the tree, its taking over the main part of the tree imo

How did you do the rock?


Oh i see i was wrong then

I made the whole rock shape and filled it in with the darker gray, then I went back and traced the lighter part of the rock (it was still dark until I added the lighter gray) made a new shape covering that face, and colored it a lighter gray. Then, I made a little-bitty pen tool selection and colored that with a completely different gray, and wah-lah, rock!

I admit, I could have spent a little more time on the ground, etc...adding grasslines, adding more detail to the rock, and adding a shadow to the tree...but I've been starring at this thing all day...

Agreed.

Even as you've said you could have spent more time putting grass line and shadows into it, but IMO it looks freaking awesome as it is! Love the idea.
