How to Make Scanlines in Photoshop

First, start with a 3x3 pixel canvas.

Then, take out the pencil tool.

Next, color the canvas with black, or the color you want your scanlines to be.

Now, define the pattern.

Then, name your pattern. I personally felt Scanlines would be appropriate.

Now, go to your signature, canvas, or whichever, and make a selection with your marquee tool. Then, right click in the selection and click fill.

When you click fill, you will see a pop-up box. In the pop-up box, click the drop-down arrow and select pattern.

Choose your pattern, now.

Click 'OK' and you will be done!

Congratulations, you now have scanlines in your artwork.

Thanks,
Chris

It is a photoshop tutorial, but it isn't for the sole use of small art. Therefore, it's not in the small art tutorials section.
